THE GAYLORD POWLESS MEMORIAL 
AWARD - SIX NATIONS

Most Sportsmanlike Player


Known as the "Marvelous Mohawk" during his playing days with the Oshawa Green Gaels, Gaylord played on four Minto Cup and one Mann Cup championship teams. Gaylord twice won The Jim McConaghy Memorial Award as the Minto Cup's MVP as well as several Junior "A" league awards. Since his retirement, Gaylord has spent many years coaching minor lacrosse in Six Nations. Gaylord was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1990.
