THE E.W. "BILLY" EVANS MEMORIAL 
AWARD – BRAMPTON

Outstanding Graduating Junior "A" Player

Billy arrived from his homeland of Wales and immediately fell in love with the game of lacrosse, staying involved in Brampton for the next 59 years at the minor and Junior “A” level. During this time period Billy was known as Brampton’s Mr. Lacrosse. He was known for his longevity, dedication and sportsmanship, these being the qualities this award stands for. In 1981, Billy received the Merv McKenzie Award and in 1979 he was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
